Dr. Guillermo Otero-Perez, MD


Dr. Otero-Perez has been a practicing psychiatrist since 2002. He has worked in inpatient hospitals, crisis centers, outpatient facilities, as well as consulting work for various facilities. 

In addition to private practicing, Dr. Otero-Perez also currently acts as an expert witness for civil commitments and long residential settings through Jefferson and Einstein Health Systems.

Approach to Treatment:

My approach to treatment is greatly influenced by the recovery model, which emphasizes that every client is a person in recovery and recognizes that journey as a very personal one. My role is to assist the person receiving treatment in developing hope, encouraging supportive relationships, empowerment, expand knowledge of ailments and coping skills, and improving oneself.

Areas of Specialty:

Anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar related disorder, depressive disorders, disruptive, gender dysphoria, impulse-control and conduct disorders, obsessive compulsive related disorders (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with those who are in psychotherapy. As well as Mental and physical health comorbidities.
